Pressures of several hundred bar, temperatures up to 600 degrees Celsius: Industrial valves, such as those used in power plants, the oil and gas industry or in chemical process systems, work under the most arduous conditions. In such cases, safety is the most important aspect. Not only the enormous pressure, but also the often toxic or aggressive process media can quickly become a hazard for people and the environment. Valves must not only be perfectly matched to the particular application but also provide protection against an unauthorized access or accidental operation of the valve.<\/p>

Unauthorized access or accidental operation can quickly have disastrous consequences. However, system operators can easily prevent both scenarios:<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

The\u00a0anti-tamper valve head unit<\/b>\u00a0is equipped with a special\u00a0Anti-Tamper Key (AT-Key)<\/b>, which fits exactly in the key guide. The valve can therefore only be operated with the AT-Key. In addition to this safety function, installing a\u00a0padlock<\/b>\u00a0prevents the AT-Key being inserted into the key guide. Operating the valve is therefore no longer possible which protects your equipment against unauthorized opening and closing of the valve head units. The valve can be locked reliably in every position required.<\/p>

The valves can also be equipped with a\u00a0Stainless Steel Handwheel<\/b>\u00a0and an additional\u00a0fitted locking plate<\/b>. This design allows minimum handle movements and is ideal as protection against unauthorised closing of the valve.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

AS-Schneider offers in addition the option\u00a0\u2018AT-Key Lock\u2019<\/b>. The valves are operated by an AT-Key which is an integral component of the valve. This key can be extracted a little from the valve head unit which loosens the connection between the valve stem and the key. In this extended position a\u00a0padlock<\/b>\u00a0can now be hooked diagonally in the valve head unit which prevents the key being inserted again. Operating the valve is therefore no longer possible which protects your equipment against unauthorised opening and closing of the valve. The valve can be locked reliably in every position required. This design offers you optimal security against unintentional and unauthorized operation of the valve.<\/p>
